We were advised by a good friend who has been to China before to ask 5 star china travel to get our visa for us. We followed the advice and I have to say that they could not have been more helpful in answering my queries when completing the application and then getting the visa\'s for us. The turn around was also very quick which was helpful and reassuring as I don\'t like being parted from my passport for too long! Thank you - John

I got Chinese visas from 5 Star and was concerned about sending all of my family's passports to an unknown company in the post. But I needn't have worried, 5 Star were great; they let me know when the passports had been received, when they'd been passed to the embassy and when they were being returned. I got them back via registered post and everything took less than one week. Fantastic! Thank you 5 Star I will use your services again and would heartily recommend you to anyone. Mark H.

We were very pleased with the service provided by 5 Star . They were very helpful guiding us through the process. We were particularly pleased with the speed with which the visa was processed as we needed the passport back as we are traveling abroad next week. Just one thing that might have been helpful was to provide a sample invitation letter. As we are staying with our son and not in hotels it took us a few attempts before getting all the details. This is not a criticism but just something we would have been glad of.

Our friends used the Cruise line approved visa agency & paid £50 extra for each visa. 5-star's guide & information pack ensured a worry-free experience. Emails advised of receipt, processing, application & despatch back to me. Company is well named; 5 star service!

Excellent efficient service. My questions were answered by phone before I completed the forms and the visas for myself and my husband were swiftly sent to us despite the Chinese New Year. We were kept fully informed by e mail. We are now contemplating booking a couple of trips through 5 Star for our time in Beijing.

I posted my passports to have chinese visas printed in them monday,Got an e-mail to say they were being dealt with tuesday,got another e-mail to say they were being sent back friday and received them this morning saturday.Not only a superb service but £48 cheaper than the visa company my cruise line offered. A most excellent visa service. We had an email to advise the receipt of our passports, and a phone call to check our itinerary to make sure we had applied for the right visa. Then an email to advise that our passports with visas were on their way back to us, together with the Royal Mail Track & Trace No. Everything was completed within a week and at a most competive cost. I recommend 5 star to anyone needing a China visa.

Dear Mengli, Please excuse my delay in replying to you. I've been very busy since my return from China. Also please excuse my very brief replies to you from China - my email kept crashing. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to China and were very impressed by your organisation of the trip. Everything, including all the taxi pick-ups, ran to schedule and the taxi driver in Beijing came to the platform as you said he would. We did give him a tip. He was also very communicative despite having only a few words in English - he had a phrase book, which he kept passing to us, with English & Mandarin phrases describing the sites in Beijing. He drove round Tiananmen Square slowly for us to take photos. The train journey was very good. The compartments are small but have everything you need (bunk beds, small table, one armchair, washroom with washbasin & wc). It was difficult to take photos because of the space but I attach three. We slept well. There was also coffee and cake provided for breakfast (10 Yuan per item). Overall, everything was very good and I would recommend 5 star china travel to anyone. I have two adverse comments (not of your organisation but of the tours). We had excellent guides for the Shanghai and Beijing tours. However, for the Xi'an tour, we were dropped outside the station with no help as to where to go or what to do. We had to guess where to enter the station and then it took us half an hour to find anything about our train - we couldn't find anyone who spoke English. Luckily, we eventually found where to go. The other comment is about the tours generally. They all involved going round factories/shops selling jade, silk, pearls or tea. The first time is fine but after several tours it gets very tiring, especially if you are basically forced to go. I realise this is a problem of the state. To end on an upbeat note, we enjoyed all the sites we visited and we found the Chinese people very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the food. We thought the Double Happiness Courtyard Hotel in Beijing was amazing and we would thoroughly recommend it. Thank you for all your help and managing to book the 2 berth cabin on the train.
