8 Days Mt. Everest Tour £1250 - Itinerary
Day 1
Upon arrival, meet your local Tibet guide and be transferred to your hotel at the center of Lhasa city. Have a good rest or free to explore for the rest of the day.(D)
Day 2
Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhore Street.(B/L)
Day3
Free to explore;
Day 4
On the way, visit Lake Yamdrok which is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. Then drive back to Qushui, along Nepal friendship way to Gyantse. Visit the famous Kumpum stupa in Gyantse. Overnight at Shigatse. (B/L)
Day 5
Early morning start driving to Rongbuk via Shegar. The road is a bit rough, on the way you will cross over Gyatsola Pass at 5,220 m, which is the highest enroute.
Rongbuk is the highest monastery in Tibet, still a good point to see Mt.Everst. Afternoon start trekking from Rongbuk to E.B.C , it takes about 2 hours. Or you can take animal carriage. Overynight at E.B.C tent.
Day 6
See sunrise at E.B.C. if visible, then go back to rongbuk and start driving back to Shigatse. Overnight at Shigatse.(D)
Day 7
Morning visit the Bachen Lama Set - Tashilunpo Monastery , which was Built in1447 by the first Dalai Lama. Afternoon drive back to Lhasa along Yarlong Tsangpo river by the Nepal friendship road. Overnight at Lhasa. (B,D)
Day8
Transfer to airport or train station;
